Position Summary

Purpose

The Quality Advisor will provide support to the manufactured products segment in Angola and will be responsible for document control as well as assisting the quality manager, quality supervisor and quality engineer as needed in accordance with requirements .

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions


ESSENTIAL

• Responsible for assisting in developing and implementing processes related to Document Control and Management
• Responsible for preparing, releasing, controlling and distributing all customer Databook deliverables.
• Taking ownerships for multiple client Projects and ensuring the effective on-time coordination of project documentation and records.
• Interpretation of client specifications and compilation of documentation packages for all contracts.
• Scanning and Photocopying of Documents and Data Books as required
• Collating Material Certification required for Data Books and Stock items
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
• Ensure that all existing work routines, practices, procedures and systems are followed.
• Assist and contribute to proactive quality programs including DFMEA, PFMEA, COPQ reduction projects and waste reduction projects.
• Responsible for th e control and verification of calibrated equipment in accordance with requirements
• Responsible for maintaining detailed project Quality Assurance, Quality Control Plans, and client specific Product Inspection & Test documentation
• Utilize the SmartSolve online system to manage the fundamentals of quality assurance, provides meaningful data to the business leaders to drive improvement and align with the strategic direction.
• Provide QA/QC support to all client projects as assigned. Support entails but it is not limited to risk management, quality reporting, audit management and other project related activities.
• Contact suppliers as required.
• Assist various professionals and departments in technical control tasks, guidance, and training.
• Report and process deviations/Non-Conformances.
• Contribute to the improvement of our processes and procedures
• Document own work and assist with periodic reports.
• Support training initiative delivery as required.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

• Direct report to the Quality Supervisor

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Minimum academic qualification in engineering or technical field, preferably in Quality, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS requirements
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work with one or more project teams simultaneously
• Able to prioritize and plan work activities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good communication in English language, (written, reading and speaking)
• Able to produce accurate and well-presented work
• High level of attention to detail, and accuracy in all areas of work

DESIRED

• Qualified and competent as an ISO 9001 lead auditor
• Experience of working on Projects
• Experience of monitoring and speaking to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows:

• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
• Work surface is stable (flat).
