Passionate about financial management and human capital management, I am a team worker, practical, proactive, dynamic, responsible, analytic person, able to anticipate needs and provide a clear and comprehensive vision. Experiência

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Bolloré Transport & Logistics Angola & Bolloré Ports – Agente de Navegação – Bolloré Group – Logistics, transit, shipping, and supply chain company. Luanda, Angola since June 2019.

Mission: Definition and management of the administrative, financial, IT, Legal and Compliance departments of 2 entities. Management of a team of 24 employees, locals and expatriates spread over 4 branches. 

Scope of functions & key responsibilities: 

  •  Manage the accounting, controlling and administration teams. 
  •  Provide management with timely and relevant financial analysis and take an active in the decision-making process. 
  •  Ensure integrity of the revenue recognition and manages cost and investments. 
  •  Ensure a healthy cash flow by managing working capital effectively. Ensure compliance with local tax rules and regulations. 
  • Complete all budgeting, planning, and monitoring including the target setting process and P&L analysis versus rolling forecast and targets. 
  •  Support internal and external growth through the evaluation, approval, submission, post investment review of business investment applications and monitoring customer implementations.
  •  Contact preparation & negotiations (customers + suppliers) and pricing/costing. 
  •  Ensure the provision of up-to-date financial knowledge. 
  •  Lead and manage the performance of finance team.
  •  Manage and planning financial resources of the company. 
  •  Overall control of company’s accounting function, financial planning, budgets, business performance of the company. 
  • Set financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy of the company. 
  •  Ensure all functions and programs under charge are performed within established budgetary parameter.
  •  Ensure strict control of all financial transactions, accountancy matters, including audit systems, corporate finance, policies/working instructions, working capital, debt, equity, and acquisitions. 
  • Responsible for maintaining finance KPI’s (DSO, AR, AP, etc.) at the target levels. 
  • Responsible for improving business performance of the company. 

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING COUNTRY DIRECTOR Bolloré Transport & Logistics Moçambique & Pemba – Terminal Service & PIL Moçambique – Bolloré Group – Logistics, transit, shipping, and supply chain company. Maputo, Mozambique 2017 - 2019.

Mission: Managing accounting and tax department of 3 entities. – Financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, reporting, financial and cash management. Management of a team of 36 employees in 4 branches. Scope of functions & key responsibilities: 

  • Review and analyze monthly financial results. 
  •  Develop and maintain operation budget. 
  •  Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, and financial procedures. 
  •  Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data. 
  •  Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
  •  Oversee the preparation and timely filing all local taxes. 
  •  Oversee the month-end close process, constantly review procedures. 
  • Review all month-end closing activities/process including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation and review procedures. 
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external and internal auditors, manage preparation and support of all external audits. 
  •  Manage the cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability. 
  •  Oversee daily cash management, approve large payables, and bank transfer authorizations. 
  •  Lead the evaluation of insurance premiums.

Managing accounting, tax, and human resources department. Responsible for the monthly/year closing, tax obligations, preparation of annual budget and follow up, reporting to the Board, payroll management, internal training, contract management, recruitment, and selection.
