    Position Summary

    Primary focal point for delivery of all aspects of the designated project; Deliver Safety, Competent Resources, Performance Management, Risk Management, Effective Reporting, Budgets and Commercial Implementation. This involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. To ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable day-to-day operations of the project. To identify and develop profitable new business opportunities within your area of operation.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Functions

    ESSENTIAL

    • Primary focal point for delivery of all aspects of the NDT contract and any additional contracts/Projects within your area of operation.

    • Management of Project team, HSE, Supervisors across the client base

    • Ensure that sufficient competent personnel in the areas of service management, technical control, and pressure systems, corrosion, subsea, structural and inspection engineers and technicians to deliver the service

    • Ensure such personnel work within their competency responsibilities and areas of scope and that such work is carried out within framework of appropriate legislation

    • Responsible for the correct identification and prioritization of areas of work and resource demands

    • Develop and agree, Key Performance Indicators, and ensure that agreed data and actions necessary to deliver are provided

    • Responsible for the commercial implementation of contracts as defined in the contract agreement under workscope, including approval of annual budgets, management and monitoring of agreed scopes within those budgets on approval from the Operations manager (IMDS)

    • Assist in preparation and pricing of tender/proposal documents for additional work in your area of operation

    • Actively participate in monthly business unit meeting to review ongoing performance and highlight areas of concern that require the client/Oceaneering support

    • Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of the NDT& integrity process between Oceaneering and the clients

    • Ensure that regular audits and assessment of the service are planned, monitor and review any impact of changes in standards and legislation for continued correct delivery

    • Responsible for production of the contract Monthly Performance Management report

    • Ensure that accurate, adequate, and timely information is provided to the Oceaneering admin team to administer and run payrolls for your area of operation.

    • Sign off as correct all invoices, timesheets, and billings to the work prior to forwarding to the Operations Manager Angola for approval and processing.

    • Provide financial management reporting for P&L across multiple contracts / projects in your area of responsibility.

    • Liaise with IMDS Angola Management Team and Operation Manager (IMDS) as required

    • Manage Client communications and reporting as required, ensuring that business and HSE risk implications on NDT & integrity issues are clearly identified and appropriately assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Angola IMDS Senior Management Team.

    • Act as local interface with clients regarding payments, and outstanding invoices for services rendered.

    • Analyse and identify new business opportunities in area of operations, optimise the growth opportunities in your area of operations

    • Supervise all commercial aspects of the operations. Including but not limited to subcontractors, logistics, and local procurement.
    • Sign off as correct all invoices, timesheets, and billings to the work prior to forwarding to the Operations Manager Angola for approval and processing.
    • Ensure that adequate personnel records are maintained on site to meet internal requirements, to enable ASNT re certification to be carried out by continuous assessment. Additionally, liaise with the Operations Manager Angola / Training Department to ensure that appropriate courses and examinations are scheduled to maintain all NDT, and rope access qualifications of onsite personnel.
    • Ensure that our contractual nationalization commitments are met, and appropriate records maintained.
    • Ensure that adequate equipment, and consumable inventory is always maintained onsite to meet contractual commitments of the contracts/Projects you are responsible for.
    • Ensure that adequate numbers/strength of radioactive isotopes are always onsite to meet contractual commitments.
    • Ensure that detailed/concise handovers are given each rotation to ensure a smooth transition over to the back-to-back superintendent. These should include but not be limited to all operational, personnel, logistical, training, discipline, commercial, and HSE issues.

        Supervisory Responsibilities

        Directly supervises of project personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include Nationalization program, interviewing, hiring, and overseeing the training of the employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

        • Degree qualified in an engineering or business-related discipline, (preferably Chartered status if engineering or tertiary qualification if from a business discipline).

        • Minimum 10 years' experience of effectively leading project teams to achieve delivery of contractual obligations (E).

        • Minimum 5 years within oil and gas Integrity Management/Inspection (E).

        • Experience in delivery of financial targets, budgets and proposals (E).

        • Must be familiar with QA/QC systems and procedures, service quality and customer satisfaction (E).

        • Ability to guide team(s) in prioritizing workload effectively (E).

        • Provide leadership, coaching or guidance to others. (E).

        • Lead the nationalization and development program of our Angolan employees (E).

        • Good communicator both written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others (E).

        • Good client or support contractor relationship skills at various levels of seniority or diverse cultures (E).

        Working Conditions

        This position is considered ONSHORE-OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows:

        • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water

        • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment

        • Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels

        • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.

        • Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

        • Work surface is stable, height is elevated
