- Lead the origination, design, and implementation of client engagements, including business development and project management
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess potential clients
- Develop compelling pitch books and proposals for prospective clients
- Collaborate with stakeholders and build partnerships with staff across IFC and the World Bank Group
- Manage the production of regular reports on the assigned upstream portfolio
- Mentor junior team members working on upstream activities
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Development, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience of at least 12 years in the financial sector, with 8 years in commercial banking or related consulting services or digital financial services
- Excellent track record in the origination, design, implementation, management, oversight, and monitoring of technical assistance projects
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, and credibly represent IFC with clients and stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Portuguese
- Competitive salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Investment Portfolio Manager to join our team in Luanda, Angola. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and delivering projects that enable investment opportunities, enhance investment outcomes, and improve investment conditions.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience working in the financial sector, with a strong understanding of commercial banking and digital financial services. You will lead the identification and assessment of upstream opportunities in Eastern and Southern Africa, providing quality research and analysis for market and opportunity creation.
You will also contribute to sector-specific data analysis and market scoping, work with the World Bank to identify and implement sector and regulatory reforms, and design and implement high-quality upstream initiatives and interventions.
