    UNICEF in tough places for disadvantaged children

    With a presence in Angola since 1976, UNICEF continues to expand its nutrition programmes to combat malnutrition in various provinces such as Luanda, Huila, Cunene, Namibe, Benguela, and Bie. Environmental challenges in the southern provinces worsen malnutrition rates, demanding increased support. COVID-19 and economic downturn impact nutritional status in Luanda, prompting UNICEF to establish nutrition services in multiple health facilities.

    Responsibilities of Nutrition Officer:

    • Support nutrition programme planning and implementation
    • Manage monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
    • Assist in capacity building and knowledge management


    • Experience in malnutrition programming
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

    As a national UN Volunteer based in Luanda, you will be responsible for your own housing.
